INGREDIENTS
For the smoothie
- 500 ml flat water
- 1 untreated lime
- 1 container of garden or shiso cress
- 80 g baby spinach
- 12 g ginger
- 1 celery stalk
- 1 small cucumber
- 2 kiwis
- 1 Granny Smith apple
For the decoration
- Celery stalks, including leaves
Preparation
- Weigh and measure all the ingredients, prepare them and place them ready.
- Wash the lime in hot water, dry it and grate the peel and squeeze the juice. Remove the cress leaves with scissors and place these ready. Wash the spinach and spin dry. Peel the ginger. Wash the celery and cut into pieces. Trim and wash the cucumber and cut into pieces. Peel and coarsely chop the kiwis. Wash and quarter the apple; remove the core if desired and roughly chop. Wash the celery stalks, allow to drip dry and place to one side for the decoration.
- Add the ingredients to the blender jar in the following order: water, lime zest and juice, cress, spinach, ginger, celery, cucumber, kiwi, apple. Close the blender jar with the lid.
- Select the Ice Cream setting and press the button to run the program. Or blend manually to achieve the desired consistency.
- Once the program has finished, remove the lid and serve the smoothie in glasses. Decorate with celery stalks and enjoy immediately.
Tip
This detox smoothie serves as a basis. Its flavour can be diversely varied by swapping its ingredients for other types of fruit and vegetables.
