Ingredients

  • 500 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 100 ml beef stock

Preparation

  1. Peel the onion and garlic.
  2. Put the minced meat in a bowl and season with salt, pepper oregano and olive oil.
  3. Crush the garlic cloves with a garlic press and finely grate the onion on the fine side of the square grater. Add both to the meat.
  4. Knead the minced meat mass with your hands or in a food processor for about 10 minutes and shape into 2 cm thick and about 10 cm long Cevapcici.
  5. Put them on a plate, cover with transparent film and let them marinate in the fridge for at least two hours.
  6. Grill over a medium heat and brush again and again with the meat broth.

Top tip:

Serve with tzatziki.
