Description
Specially designed for MIYABI knives, the basic sharpening set includes a Hinoki wood base that can accommodate a wide range of different sharpening stones. Hinoki wood comes from a type of Cyprus tree only found in Japan and which is famed for its unique characteristics.
This basic sharpening kit also contains a dressing stone for cleaning, smoothing down and improving the performance of the Toishi Pro ceramic sharpening stone. These sharpening stones can also be used to sharpen knives made from different materials and are available in various grain sizes, including F400 for major correction work or breaks in the blade and F10000 for an extremely sharp finish (available separately). The synthetic stone is excellent for sharpening and gives your knives an exceptionally sharp edge.
After sharpening, the knives can then be used to chop up meat, fish and other ingredients with ease and can even be used to cut food into wafer thin slices in the Japanese style. Use this basic knife sharpening kit to give your knives an exceptionally sharp edge.
