Staub Braisers 30 cm round Cast iron Saute pan with glass lid eucalyptus
Description
Eucalyptus trees not only survive bushfires, they thrive because of them. Their leaves are full of essential oils, making them very flammable. For the trees, this is a good thing: Fire passes through eucalyptus forests quickly, leaving the stems and roots intact. And the eucalyptus fruits are actually designed to protect the seeds during a fire and release them undamaged onto freshly cleared ground covered in fertilising ash.
What does this have to do with our braisers? They, too, have been designed to withstand great heat and to protect what is inside them, only to release it at the perfect moment. In the case of the braiser, the protective shell is cast iron, which offers optimal heat distribution to the ingredients.
The aroma rain structure of the tight-fitting lid preserves the flavours and moisture of the food. The silver-green enamel coating with its gradient effect doesn’t just look good, it also makes the braiser more durable and easy to care for.
You can use it to cook on any kind of heat source, even on an open fire in the Australian outback.
