Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stainless tea kettle It’s big! Not awkward big. I imagine it would look better on a more modern gas range. Heats faster than I expected. No whistle though. I sometimes forget about it. Handle gets hot, so I pick it up with a pot holder. I recommend this product. Good price, attractive, good capacity.

The kettle pours drip free which seems to be rare these days. I use this kettle everyday and it's great. I don't miss having a whistle at all. I also use this as a humidifier in winter months. I have been using this kettle for months and I'm sure it will last years.

The handle is comfortable and wide enough for easy maneuvering without touching the kettle itself preventing from burn. The spout is on point, it is easy pours directly to your cup and no spills. This Demeyere Resto is manufactured with premium 18/10 stainless steel, will not rust.

Is this 3-ply or the 5-ply that used to be made in Belgium?

This kettle has a 3-ply encapsulated base (induction compatible), though the rest of the piece is single ply 18/10 stainless steel. The Demeyere RESTO series is manufactured in Indonesia.
