INGREDIENTS

Pastry dough

  • 4.5 oz (125 g) wheat flour, extra for working
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup (3 fl oz) water

Topping

  • 3 shallots
  • 3.5 oz (100 g) crème fraîche
  • salt, pepper
  • 3 oz (75 g) diced ham
  • 3 oz (80 g) grated cheese

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. Combine the flour, salt and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the water and knead everything into a smooth dough using a hand mixer with a dough hook.
  2. Peel and halve the shallots and dice finely. Stir in the crème fraîche until smooth and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Knead the dough briefly with your hands on a lightly floured surface and divide into four portions. Roll out the dough portions to the size of the surface of the ZWILLING Air Fryer and dock several times with a fork.
  4. Place the dough on the air fryer surface and spread with the crème fraîche. Sprinkle with shallot, ham and grated cheese.
  5. Place the grid in the hot air fryer. Bake the tart at 400°F for approx. 8-10 minutes until crispy.
  6. In the meantime, roll out the other tarte flambée. Remove the finished tarte flambée and enjoy immediately or keep warm. Bake the remaining tarte flambée in the same way, reducing the baking time by 1-2 minutes if necessary, as the hot air fryer is already heated up.

Tip

The toppings can be varied according to taste.
