  • 20 oz fresh blackberries
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 7 oz. spelt flour
  • 7 oz. pastry flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 5.5 oz. brown sugar
  • 8.8 oz. butter at room temperature
  • Confectioner’s sugar for dusting

  • All-purpose oven tray
  • Parchment paper

HOW TO MAKE IT

Directions

  1. Prepare the all-purpose oven tray (445-465°F). Line with parchment paper. Rinse and dry the blackberries. Then mix with the maple syrup.
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl. Add the vanilla sugar, brown sugar and butter and work into a loose crumble with your hands.
  3. To layer, spread half of the crumble over the bottom of the tray. Then, spread the fruit over the crumble. Top the fruit with the remaining crumble.
  4. Place the tray of blackberry crumble in the grill and bake with the grill lid closed for 20-25 minutes. Dust with the confectioner’s sugar to serve.

Tip:

You can use a variety of fresh or frozen fruit such as mixed berries, strawberries, and blueberries.
