Blackberry Crumble

- 20 oz fresh blackberries
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 7 oz. spelt flour
- 7 oz. pastry flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 5.5 oz. brown sugar
- 8.8 oz. butter at room temperature
- Confectioner’s sugar for dusting

- All-purpose oven tray
- Parchment paper
HOW TO MAKE IT
Directions
- Prepare the all-purpose oven tray (445-465°F). Line with parchment paper. Rinse and dry the blackberries. Then mix with the maple syrup.
- Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl. Add the vanilla sugar, brown sugar and butter and work into a loose crumble with your hands.
- To layer, spread half of the crumble over the bottom of the tray. Then, spread the fruit over the crumble. Top the fruit with the remaining crumble.
- Place the tray of blackberry crumble in the grill and bake with the grill lid closed for 20-25 minutes. Dust with the confectioner’s sugar to serve.
Tip:
You can use a variety of fresh or frozen fruit such as mixed berries, strawberries, and blueberries.
