Beautiful Set
This is a fantastic little knife set! I already had JA-H steak knives so I wasn’t interested in the sets that included them. I swear by those steak knives so I knew a full set would be a solid decision. Great that it has the self-sharpening feature! Gorgeous block and gorgeous knives. I got the set at Williams Sonoma on a $199 sale, which is a steal for non-Chinese made knives. Didn’t give it a full five stars as only the Chef’s and Santoku are tight in their slots. The rest (especially utility and scissors) are pretty sloppily loose.....but this doesn’t effect their performance!

Great sharpening concept
I wasn't sure how I felt about the look of this block set. the metal top made it seem so industrial, but when I realized the benefit of having the self sharpening, the appearance faded away. I love knowing that every time I go to cut, slice, chop, pare my knife is as ready as I am. I wish there was a way to make the slot for scissors a scissors sharpener but that's a tall order Im sure! The selection of knives in this set are just perfect for my needs and the quality is fantastic! I also like that you can buy replacement pieces but I'm sure I wont need to for a very long time

7 Piece Self-Sharpening Block
I have owned a number of Zwilling / Henkels knives before, of various levels of quality, and have always been impressed by the quality. I decided to get a matched set, and the self-sharpening feature was especially appealing. I would absolutely recommend this set for any cook or chef . . . a sharp knife makes the job so much easier!

WOW...JUST WOW!
I have used a few different set and stand alone knives. They never seemed to impress me much. BUT I purchased a J.A. Henckels 8 inch chefs knife and was so impressed with it that knew I would have to have MORE! This set is all I will ever need. I am so impressed with the self sharpening that actually works to the weight of each knife and mostly when I use one of these knives the feel of it in my hand is amazing! They feel so balanced and just so expensive! I love these knives. If you are looking for a set that will do all you need in the kitchen this is the set for you!

Good basic set.
This set has exactly what you need to cook a great meal, everyday if you want. It doesn't have all you'd need for more complicated prep - like boning a chicken, or for bigger meals - like carving a turkey, but it has two great workhorses of the kitchen, an 8-inch chef's and 7-inch santoku. Plus smaller knives for making salads and sandwiches. (There are two other Classic sets with a self sharpening block if you feel you need more specialty knives.)
Whichever size set you go with, you can't go wrong. They are very good knives - and an exceptional value. I really like them; I've had a set for more than 20 years. These are forged knives made of quality steel. They have a triple riveted handle, a comfortable integrated bolster. Even if they aren't made in Germany, the steel is, and their quality is unquestionable.

Maintenance Free Set
Classic knives are as close as you can get to the knives made in Germany, at a more affordable price. They are forged from German steel and are made in Spain. The three rivet handle means they're perfectly weight, balanced and extremely durable. Guaranteed to last a lifetime!
This self sharpening set looks beautiful but is more than a pretty face. Each knife slot is labeled so it helps you select the correct knife and know the correct slot to return it to. Every time you pull a knife out and replace it, your knife is sharpened. Never have a dull knife again!

My father previously owned and loved Henckles knives, so it was a no brainer that this was the gift for him and the self sharpening feature was an added bonus!!
