Rated 5 out of 5 by bourbonbb from Great Bread Knife A great bread knife is the most important tool for the homemade bread maker. It slices cleanly through a loaf without ever smashing it. Plus you can get slices as thick or thin as you'd like. It is also a great tool to have around for slicing a large watermelon. This knife is a similar quality to the knives made in Germany, at a fraction of the cost. It's forged from high carbon, nitrogen infused, German steel which guarantees incredible edge retention and durability. The fine edge blades are sharpened to an edge angle that closely matches Asian knives making them incredibly sharp. The three rivet handle has the perfect weight and balance, plus it is extremely durable.

The silky smooth texture of the handle contours really well into the palm of your hand, giving you a comfortable grip while you use this knife. With the blade being serrated, this is a great knife to not only use for slicing bread with ease, but also to slice fruits like citruses, tomatoes, and even meats like sausage. A great forged knife made out of high carbon stainless steel, this is a knife that you’ll want to grab for on a regular basis in your kitchen.

The blade design is perfect for piercing through the tough exterior while preserving the tender interior. I also like to use this knife for slicing large fruits and vegetables. Perfect for watermelon and eggplant. This is a sharp, durable and well balanced knife. Classic three rivet handle is comfortable to hold.

Although I have not yet used this particular knife, I have used my other knives and steak knives in my Henckels knife block. I’ve owned this set for approximately 13 years. I use them practically daily and they are just like the day I bought them. These knives are solidly made from the best materials and feel very comfortable in the hand. I highly recommend them.

Made from high quality German steel these knives are well balanced with a classic 3 rivet handle, full bolster, full tang, acute edge angle with a beautiful satin finish. Whether you are a home cook or a professional this is a great knife to have in your kitchen.

We haven't been happy with that knife for a while. We used this knife to slice bagels and it was a pleasure. this knife sliced right through them, unlike our old knife. So far we are very very pleased.

It's made from German steel so it's incredibly durable and won't stain. The three-rivet handle is ergonomic and comfortable to grip and offers great balance to this bread knife.

My 1st knife just like this one was a gift to our family and we used everyday while our children grew up and had children of their own. Such a wonderful tool in our kitchen, I had sharpened over the years, however I still use and it has lasted 40 yrs, yes 40 yrs.
