I recently upgraded all my tools and I picked this up and I’ve been really happy with it. I like that you can control how lumpy your potatoes are or smooth. I also use it for butternut squash and it did really well. It’s held up in the dishwasher, no rusting or pitting.

A masher! An impressive Zwilling International product, it is functional, stays flat masher and durable. It is manufactured with high-quality stainless steel. This masher is sturdy for mashing a variety of potato, squash, cassava, I say a helpful butter breaker and few other tasks for this kitchen tools. It's certainly an enjoyable partner in the kitchen, stays shiny clean, scratch-free and less maintenance. Rounded handle is comfortable in my hands, easy grip, and cleaning is a breeze, it is dishwasher safe.

Great for potatoes but also will tackle bananas for bread or avacados! Zwilling makes very substantial, well made and good looking utensils. They hold up well in the dishwasher, the stainless steel handles look pretty and feel stable in the hand.

Zwilling EmployeeAn easy and efficient Potato masher. The bent mashing portion allows you to get the food on the sides and the corners of the pot, This prevents the overwork that can make the mashed potatoes tough or gummy.

Long ago my mom taught me how to mash potatoes with a masher instead of a mixer and I have to admit I'm old fashioned on this one. The shape and style of this masher provides a better surface for mashing and not just "splitting" the potato with thinner loops of steel. The curved back allows me to get right down the side of my pot into the corner to get all the bits of potato nice and smooth. The handle is super sturdy and comfortable for all the pressure it takes.

Heavy Duty MasherI have always mash my potatoes by hand and had been using an antique red wooden handled one for years. When I got this, I realized I had been missing out! It is heavy duty stainless steel that doesn't bend under pressure and doesn't rust or corrode, even when washed in the dishwasher. The curved smasher makes quick work of mashing without making the potatoes too starchy.

Be careful - rust spotsI washed the masher in warm, soft dish soap and noticed afterward a rust spot on the masher. Looking carefully I see there is a defect in the steel and finish itself. I haven't even used the masher - and I won't with that defect - and it is no longer good. What a disappointment. I expected better from Zwilling and Henckels. It was probably made in China.
