Description
The 15-piece knife block set features all the tools you need to start your kitchen out right. This block set includes the all-rounder 8-inch chef’s knife, which is perfect for chopping herbs and dicing onions, and 5-inch serrated utility knife, ideal for cutting soft interior, hard exterior foods. Efficiently mince garlic with the hollow edge santoku, featuring a blade that has small indentations, known as grantons, that prevent food from sticking while cutting.
Housed in a handsome hardwood block, this set is complete with kitchen shears, a sharpening steel, and six 4.5-inch steak knives.

Just switched
For years I’ve used Chicago Cutlery instead. Other family members always commented that I should switch to Henckels. After I was gifted a knife by a family member, it finally convinced me. I got the Statement Fine Edge 15 piece set and have loved using them each day. The edges hold ridiculously well. The weight and balance is great. I also have slightly larger hands and they feel very comfortable to hold. My spouse has much smaller hands and she even says they’re comfortable for her to use. Even though they are dishwasher safe, I wash them by hand each time. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone looking at the set.

Good, but a lot of Work
Got married in December and it is now April. We only cook 3-4 times a week and our paring knife is already starting to rust near the handle. Granted we have had them for months and learned that the care for these knives is more work than cheaper knives. The knife had a little water on it for two days and it’s already got rust. We love these knives and how sharp they are, but as they were a wedding gift, we can’t partake in the warranty. Still would recommend them though.

Great Knives!
I am so glad that I bought these knives! I have been wanting them for years and my husband finally got them for me! Quality made, sharp and feel great in my hand. I have nerve damage and sometimes lose my grip but these have made cutting a breeze for me. I love them!

Good for a two-cook household
I like this set because it comes with two cook's knives - the 8-inch chef's and the 7-inch santoku. These two knives mean that everyone gets a good knife to use in the kitchen and the work can be divvied up evenly. The fact that it comes wit 6 steak knives is just a bonus.
The Statement line is a very distinctive, and very popular around the world. Stamped from high quality German steel, they are durable and will maintain their sharpness with normal care. These full tang knives feature an steel cap at feel secure in most hands. The curve at the end of the handle is comfortable for larger hands. These knives are a very good value.

Sharp and Strong
These knives were gifted to us for our wedding. What a GREAT gift. When my husband opened the gift he flipped out. He started telling me all about what he heard about these knives, the high quality of them as well as the praise Gordan Ramsey has given this brand. Exactly as he said, these are so sharp, so strong - we have been able to use these to slice meat in almost half the time it used to take us with our generic knives.
The handles are smooth and easy to grip. The block is nice and compact so it does not take up a lot of room on your counter top.
I will 100% gift these as future wedding gifts. Not a single complaint here.

Major Upgrade
First living on my own, I purchased a cheap knife block and knives from Amazon. After 4 years or so, I figured it was time for an upgrade, which led me to this Henckels block and set. What an upgrade! I never realized how poorly made my previous knives were. Not just from the sharpness and ability to cut things, but also from a quality standpoint. These have major heft to them.
My only complaint would be that they needed some major cleaning upon arrival. There were some plastic shavings on the knifes and the blades were dirty. I also wish they were still made in Germany. However, I cannot complain due to the pricepoint.

Get the basics covered
Good value. I like any set that comes with two cook's knives - the 8-inch chef and a 7-inch santoku. The next two knives most folks need are a paring knife and a bread knife. This set covers it then! Plus it comes with 6 steak knives. You are ready to cook.

Cracked handles
We don’t like having serrated steak knives. They tend to shred the meat instead of cut it. Blades don’t hold edge very long since we’ve had them sharpened.

What is the the correct Henckels knife sharpener for this set? Are "ALL" the knife blades in this set 15 degree blades or are the santoku knifes a different degree blade angle?
All of our knives can be sharpened at a 15 Degree angle on each side.
Except the Santoku knives, the correct angle for sharpening a Santoku knife or other Japanese style knives is between 10 to 12 degrees.
