For me, and ideal combo
This set pairs a 7-inch hollow edge santoku with a paring knife, a great combination of knives in my book. I cook with a lot of vegetables 0- everything starts with some combination of onions, garlic, peppers, carrots, celery, leeks and ginger. So these two knives... they are my workhorses.
The Statement line is a very distinctive, and very popular around the world. Stamped from high quality German steel, they are durable and will maintain their sharpness with normal care. These full tang knives feature an steel cap at feel secure in most hands. The curve at the end of the handle is comfortable for larger hands. These knives are a very good value.

Two of my most used knives in the kitchen and this set is a great value too. I love the santoku and it has quickly become one of my favorite blade profiles. You can do almost as much with the santoku as with a chef knife. I love the hollow grooves on the blade that create air pockets so food does not stick to the blade. I use a paring knife frequently and always have it close at hand. This set is a great paring and good quality.

Try a Santoku
This value set is a great way to try a Santoku if you haven't used one before. Your chef's knife is great for most cutting jobs but a santoku is wonderful for chopping vegetable and has a broader blade profile for harder vegetables like squash. The edge has hollow to help keep food from sticking to the blade as you slice. The paring knife is a great size you'll reach for frequently.

Great set of knives
I love that I found this set of knives because I wanted to get a santoku knife because I like how much wider the blade is than a chef's knife and it's great that it comes with a paring knife for all the small stuff that I have to cut. I like the look of the handle and the curve on the bottom of the handle makes it comfortable to hold and gives me a good grip so it is secure in my hand.

This two piece Asian knife set is such a great deal. Utilize the santoku for all of your chopping and mincing needs while the hollow edge divets on the blade help to guide food up and off the knife. And the 3" paring knife will easily tackle all of the smaller, detailed tasks. The balanced Statement knives are great quality with comfortable handles and long-lasting sharpness.

A perfect combo for getting many jobs done! The hollow-edge Santoku takes care of fish, veggies and even garlic and ginger, while the paring can do all the smaller hand jobs. This is an affordable pair that works for in doors our outdoors and makes a perfect gift for someone's first apartment.

Perfect Gift Set! A Go-To Knife!
These 2pc. combo is perfect for everybody. Paring knife for small vegetable and fruits cutting needs and 7" Santoku for a more versatile knife to cut larger size vegetables, meats and fruits. It is dishwasher safe however it is recommended handwashing.

Good value
I love a good santoku knife. It makes chopping an onion so much easier and with fewer tears. The fine edge blade is very sharp and will be easy to maintain. A 3" parer is perfect for any small tasks that you have to hold in your hand.
