Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks like a carving knife The steel end caps of this line give it a little gravitas. The look like something meat-eaters would have in their kitchen. This slicing knife is no exception. Plus, when it comes time to carve a roast or a turkey, this knife will perform. The Statement line is a very distinctive, and very popular around the world. Stamped from high quality German steel, they are durable and will maintain their sharpness with normal care. These full tang knives feature an steel cap at feel secure in most hands. The curve at the end of the handle is comfortable for larger hands. These knives are a very good value.

Also prefer the lighter weight the stamping process adds, especially when using the back and forth slicing motion. Nice and sharp blade, allows one to slice both meats and poultry easily with professional like results. Love the affordability as well as the great job it does.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A sharp slicing knife is such a great tool when cutting roasts and meats. It's length and thin sharp blade allows you to get nice thin slices of meat. This knife is light weight but has a nice stainless end cap to keep the blade feeling balanced in your hand. It is stamped from a sheet of steel with a full tang running through the handle which makes it feel sturdy.

I went with Henckels because that name has always meant quality to me. That holds up. The blade is sharp and strong and easy to maintain. I get nice thin slices when using it. The handle is comfortable to hold.

Once you have used a good slicing knife, you will wonder what took you so long to get on board. This knife is sharp and will stay sharp between honing and will retain its sharpness longer with care.

Henckels brand feels natural in my hand; it cuts like thru like butter. I can now let the cutlery do the work with next to no effort! It's beautiful also.
