PREP TIME: 15 MIN.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 round Camemberts (approx. 4.4 oz each)
  • 4 sprigs of thyme
  • 4 tbsp runny honey
  • 2 oz walnut kernels
  • 1 baguette

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (320°F fan).
  2. Place the Camemberts in STAUB Cast-Iron Mini Cocottes and lightly score the surface with a sharp knife. Wash, shake dry and pluck the thyme leaves.
  3. Roughly chop the walnuts and sprinkle over the cheese. Sprinkle with honey and thyme leaves.
  4. Put the lids on the mini cocottes and bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove the lids and bake the cheese open for further 5 minutes. Remove the mini cocottes from the oven and serve immediately with fresh baguette for dipping.

Tip

If you like it more aromatic, you can add some freshly chopped rosemary or replace the honey with maple syrup.

Info

Camembert develops its full flavor as it melts. It stays warm for a long time in the STAUB Cast-Iron Mini Cocotte and is therefore an ideal dish for social gatherings.
