Miyabi Koh 10-pc Knife Block Set is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This an amazing price for a comprehensive set of gorgeous Miyabi Koh knives. This set has every knife profile you could wish for all displayed on a magnetic wood block. No worries placing these knives on the magnetic block it is very strong and secure and keeps your edges from dulling because they are not dragging along any storage unit. The traditional thin profile Japanese blades are polished to a mirror finish and the edges are honed to a razor sharp 9.5 to 12 degree angle. FC61 super steel insures the edge will retain its sharpness use after use. I love the way the octagon shaped handle feels in my hand because it allows for a secure grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing blades I love this new Koh line. The handles are very light and comfortable to hold. I like the hexagonal design over the traditional Japanese D shaped handle. The craftsmanship on the blades is excuisite. The FC61 steel is super sharp and resistant to chipping unlike many other harder steels. The acute Japanese angle of the blade give nice thin slices and cuts. The traditional methods used in making these knives really makes a difference. The Honbazuke hand sharpening produces an amazing blade edge. The traditional Katana style watermarking above the blade edge shows the attention to detail and tradition. This is a very complete set providing everything needed from prep knives all the way up to a nice long slicer and bread knife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light and traditional Japanese collection This is a great traditional Japanese knife collection. Super lightweight, it has a nice balance to the knife, and won’t get heavy in your hand if you are slicing or chopping for an extended period of time. The thin yet sharp and durable blade shapes of this assortment does a nice job of slicing easily and smoothly. If you’re looking for a traditional style Japanese knife, this is the collection for you. This set also looks great with the easel block, a great way to store and show off your knives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Knives Buying a knife set should be a once in a lifetime investment. They should be sharp, stay sharp, comfortable and durable. And it doesn't hurt if they are beautifully displayed! Koh is an incredible line of Japanese knives. True to their heritage, they have scalpel-like blade sharpness that is a result of a thin blade with a very small edge angle. No need to worry about the blade being delicate like most Japanese knives. Koh is made from a new type of steel, FC61, that is durable and very chip resistant. You can see the details of the hand crafted blades in the edge finish. The Pakkawood handle is a very durable wood composite that can hold up to lots of daily wear and tear. The traditional D shaped design is beautiful with the Miyabi logo enlayed and fits perfectly in your hand for hours of tireless cutting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful way to display knives I am so happy that Miyabi has a way to display these knives so that you can see the beautiful craftsmanship that they put into creating their knives and especially their blades. This set of knives is also great because it includes both a chef's knife and santoku because I like to use both of those interchangeably. I also like how the bread knife is 9" instead of 8" so that it can get through larger loaves. The handle is comfortable to use with it's octagonal shape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Japanese Knives These knives are the best purchase that I have made in culinary career. Light and easy to use. Extremely sharp and cut through stuff like it is soft butter. This is the second set of Zwilling knives that I have owned and are far superior to my previous ones. I would recommend buying knife guards and a good chef bag for them as well. This is help protect them and protect yourself from cutting yourself when getting them out.
