Staub Cast Iron 7-qt Round Cocotte - Turquoise is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 306.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this size and I love this shape especially for roasting chickens or baking a boule of sourdough bread. You have enough room to add your vegetables in with the chicken, which is a huge plus. For baking bread the cast iron is perfect because it conducts heat so well, and retains the heat. The spikes under the lid collect moisture and self-baste whatever dish you are baking or roasting in the oven, all while it is cooking, so almost like you have an extra hand! You get to take all the credit though! Bread does come out perfect when baked in a staub and your chickens will come out juicy and golden brown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chili for a Crowd This 7 quart cocotte is the perfect size for my large extended family. Makes chili for 20 and easily have leftovers. Staub is not only beautiful but it is designed to make your food taste better then ever. The dark interior is not only stain resistant, but also helps caramelize the meats which adds a tremendous amount of flavor. Great for searing meats for stews and roasts. The spikes on the bottom of the lid help collect the liquids and self bastes which keeps things nice and moist. Best part is that is great to serve from...looks great, keeps everything hot and makes clean up a little easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, and great quality I just got this, so I can't speak to the longevity of the product, but so far I love it. I bought this one to replace a cheaper brand that I've had for years, but the coating had worn off over time (probably into all of the food I've been eating). I love the size. We're a family of five and I can easily make a huge pot of soup and has plenty leftover. I also love how tight the lid is. It definitely keeps the moisture inside, which has been a huge plus when simmering sauces for several hours. I also really love the color. I wanted something neutral but not completely white, and the color variation on this is really pretty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite dutch oven! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the user. This beautiful color, Grenadine 7 qt, is my preferred Staub oven, but in my collection I have several other colors and enjoy each one. Honestly, the Majolique colors are the very best and worth the little extra price. I never see fingerprints and they are like stained glass, different lighting give a different appearance. I love this size for entertaining, it gives food a bit of room to move around, which makes it easier to use from oven to table. A nice sized roast fits comfortably along with any root veggies that you want to add. It gives you room to stir the liquid without spilling a drop for liquid gold!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect pot and size for a larger family! Staub cast iron smooth enamel bottom works on all stovetops, including gas, electric, glass, ceramic, induction, and halogen. Oven safe up to 900F/482C without lid, Lids are oven safe up to 500F/260C. It's unique, interior matte texture results in exceptional browning. Beautiful for either stainless steel or modern designed. Staub cast iron pots saves you another dish, you can serve your delicious dish straight to your table. The innovative lid features tiny spikes on the interior that continually release condensed liquid back onto the food, yielding moist, flavorful results. I also bought a staub trivet to protect my table from direct heat, it add another beautiful thing at your dinner table.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny - If you have never used or owned a Staub oven, then it is time. I started using them about 11 years ago. And it makes my life easier. I literally toss a piece of meat or pieces of chicken, add a seasonings (I always include onion, garlic, salt and pepper) some liquid (usually a combo of canned tomatoes, chicken stock and wine), put it in the oven and cook for an hour or two. Done! Happy family! The 7qt is terrific for a larger family. I usually use the 5 qt for 3 people. My 7qt, which I have in grenadine, is pulled out for larger groups and special occasions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauty I received this beautiful piece today and felt as if I had arrived. I'm a teacher, family cook for baseball, football, rugby kids...I wish I had invested in this sooner. This enhances my home. I will definitely invest in this brand..arrived AHEAD of time and in beautiful condition. Elegant yet rustic, not fussy. Will definitely purchase other sizes, especially since staub had a very generous sale available for weeks!

Hello. What's the best way to clean the outside of this staub? We have had ours for several years and there's burns around the bottom outside. Any recommendations?

Asked by: RSoukup
Create a paste of baking soda and water and apply it directly to the stain. Allow the solution to sit for a few minutes, then scrub with a non-abrasive sponge.

I have the 7 qt. and 5.5 qt. coquette in white.  White seems to be very difficult to find.  Any suggestions?  Is this color only available certain times of the year?  Any plans on manufacturing more white?

Asked by: DaleP
Only certain Staub products are made in White, and some have also been discontinued. When shopping, it may be useful for you to select the brand, Staub -> Shop All Staub By Color, and then select which color you like to see the full range of products available in that color.

Can you advise what would likely cause the bottom inside of my cocotte to begin peeling off in several small spots? It just started to do this and has never been placed in the dishwasher or burnt and hasn't been used even more than 8 times? Thank you.

Asked by: TeeKay
Without seeing the pot, we cannot definitively determine what caused your cast iron cocotte to peel. For warranty information, please click on the below link. You may also email us directly at info@zwillingus.com. https://www.zwillingonline.com/warranty.html
