Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sad, hurt, upset I love Staub but this spoon has broken my heart. I don’t know if I just got a defective one but after one use a piece of wood broke off. I’ve had lots of wooden spoons over the years from various brands (Le Creuset, Sur La Table, Caphalon etc...) and have never had this happen. The spoon is beautiful and is smooth in your hand (love the ergonomics) I just wish it hadn’t chipped because now its useless; my 15 month old uses this $25 spoon as a play thing in his kiddie kitchen. I hope you have better luck than I did :(

The whole Staub olive wood collection is beautiful and I can't believe how long they last. I've had mine for over 2 years and it is still smooth and uncracked. I'll even admit it's made it's way into the dishwasher a time or two....a no no btw....and still looks great!

Maybe a little over board, but the wood detail, the deep spoon and the contour of the handle make it perfect. Olivewood has natural oils that help keep it looking like new without drying out unlike cheap wood spoons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this wooden spoon. This is such a great quality spoon made from olivewood it doesn't have that dry rough wood feel....it's smooth and hard in your hand. The handle has a comfortable curve which makes it easier to grasp while stirring. Cleans up nicely...i hand wash and dry it after every use.

You can use it on any kind of cookware especially on non stick, it won't scratch anything. I like the heavy feel of it and use it on all my Staub products.

I want to serve stew from my staub enamel bakeware.  what type of serving spoon do you recommend?

We recommend using silicone and/or wood serving utensils with all of our cookware to avoid scratching or otherwise damaging it.
