KRAMER by ZWILLING Meiji 4-inch Paring Knife is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paring knife for a full hand grip If you hold your knives with your full hand - like a handshake - this is a terrific paring knife for you. It's maneuverability, even with a 4-inch blade, is pretty awesome. Even if you use a pinch grip, this blade moves easily and so effortlessly that you'll think it's an extension of your hand. Plus the Meiji line is as tough as it is beautiful. Made of 101 layers of steel, and ice hardened in the process, this tough knife will work hundreds of menus before it needs to be sharpened. The patterned blade signifies its Damascus-style layering. The bright stainless is eye catching. The handle is a little longer than traditional handles. Great for larger hands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pakkawood Paring The Pakkawood handle on this paring knife has a more pronounced ridge for a better grip. Unique 101 layer Damascus pattern blade is scalpel sharp for precision peeling and small cutting tasks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Parinig Love Oh Meiji how I love you so! The 8" chef is my go to knife in the kitchen so only natural to add to it and so happy I did. This is one of the most comfortable paring knives I own. The core of the blade is made from FC61 carbide and its surrounded by 100 layers of additional steel which creates a beautiful Damascus pattern. The handle is an exaggerated D sharp that is comfortable and fits into any hand. It is perfect for detailed work or a quick chop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cool look great blade I have been a fan of Bob Kramer cutlery for a while. This Kramer designed knife is truly unique. His take on the traditional D shaped handle really stands out in the kitchen and is very comfortable to hold. The Damascus style blade is very sharp. The FC61 steel holds and edge for a long time and is more resilient that a lot of Japanese blades. The blade length is perfect for shaping and peeling in hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from With Bob Kramer's name on any knife, you can be assured you bought the best of the best! The 100 layers of nickel and steel designed into a gorgeous Damascus pattern, ensure sharpness, it stays sharp and extremely durable. The Pakkawood handle makes for a most comfortable grip and hold while paring, slicing, or coring your fruits and veggies. The finest of knives also has the most stunning look to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable handle, nice blade I like the modified Japanese handle as it fits comfortably in my hand. (I prefer simpler Japanese handles to western ones.) I like the blade & it's comparable to a similarly priced, slightly larger petty knife I already have (home cook). The Damascene pattern looks nice, but isn't necessary. A more traditional pattern is just fine. Overall, I'm loving this handy, little heirloom knife.
