The plastic ones s**k!!
Our first purchase was 12 various sizes of the glass airtight containers & 8 boxes of the bags. They work great, love to hear the hiss of air escaping when they are opened. So I gladly purchased 32 various sizes of the plastic ones for our pantry, never once have they "hissed" when opening. I called and spoke for 45 minutes with someone at Zwilling who walked me thought the proper "drying technique" of the lids - funny how I've never had an issue with the glass ones. Ended with the CS rep sending me 3 little diffusers, it was supposed to fix EVERYTHING. Nope. Mine haven't cracked yet, which is something to look forward to.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on the plastic....

3M Size Containers Cracked Under Vaccuum 3 TIMES!
My third 3M container just cracked under vacuum the very first time I used it. The first two broke but I figured my cat had knocked the s off the shelf or my son had dropped them or something else accidentally occurred to damage them. So I’ve bought multiple replacements. Then today I heard and watched the container crack as I was using the vacuum sealer for the first time with a brand new, hand washed container that I even let sit out for a couple days after washing in case the heat of water had some impact on the rigidity of the plastic. Complete garbage. Waste of money and over priced.

Design flaw
There's a design flaw. The use of the vacuum sealer eventually cracks the plastic. It took longer on this particular model than on one of the others, but we had to throw away food after it cracked during use and got shards of plastic in our food. Would not recommend the plastic version of these.

Defective - Failed After Two Months
This container was nice while it lasted. After about 2 month of use (resealed no more than 15 times) I heard a few cracking noises while it was sealing. I then noticed cracks on the inside of the container in the middle of both side walls.
I contacted ZWILLING about getting it replaced and they told me it is out of stock and to submit my email to be notified when it is back in stock, at which point I have to tell them so they can send me a replacement. Why do I have to notify them when their product is back in stock? Very strange. This is not the first of ZWILLING's Fresh & Save products that I've had fail after a short time and I suspect it won't be the last. If I could go back in time, I would not invest in ZWILLING's Fresh & Save system again.
Sadly, based on other reviews, it appears this is just a flawed product and I'm curious if that's why it is out of stock. If that is the case, I'll never be notified of it being back in stock and will never have my warranty claim processed.

Great concept, but vacuum seal doesn’t hold
The idea and concept of these vacuum sealed containers is great; this is what drew me to this product. I primarily use these for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, baking soda, etc. Anytime I release the vacuum to access the contents inside and vacuum seal the container after use, the seal doesn’t hold. It’s super frustrating because I have to wash the seal each time (flour or sugar gets on the seal and prevents the container from being vacuum sealed). For the price point of this product, it’s disappointing.

ZWILLING Fresh & Save CUBE Container 3M, 3 Qt, Transparent-white **************** I really wanted these to work but there is a quality control problem with the SEAL gasket **************** Testing BASELINE = various 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64 ounce GLASS canning jars with metal lids at sea level; It takes 5 seconds for the chamber to reach maximum vacuum -0.10 mPa (-29.53 HG). Then it continues to hold at maximum vacuum for additional 10 seconds before releasing to ambient pressure. There have been no failures across hundreds of jars over the last 2 years **************** I do not expect the same performance as the canning jars but, I do expect these containers to HOLD their vacuum **************** MAX VACUUM THRESHOLD TEST (the CRACK test, 13 cannisters to start); -0.04 mPa (-11.81 HG) 1 Cannister FAILED, 6 random long cracks (did not shatter).... -0.03 mPa (-8.86 HG) 1 Cannister FAILED, 3 random short cracks (did not shatter).... -0.02 mPa (-5.91 HG) 11 Cannisters PASSED, no cracking after 24 hrs **************** Conservative usable THRESHOLD established at -0.015 mPa (-4.41 HG) for all testing and usage from here on out. No cracking occurs from here on out **************** LID SEAL INTEGRITY TEST (of the remaining 11 cannisters): 4 unused canisters FAILED within 24 hours.... 5 filled canisters FAILED within 25-72 hours.... 1 filled canister FAILED at 23 days.... 1 filled canister FAILED at 28 days **************** NOTE: Sometimes wiping the underside of nipple and lid rubber seal with a damp cloth will help temporarily **************** CONTENTS TRIED SO FAR: Cereal .... Design Flaw
Don't buy this. There's a design flaw. It cracks due to the pressure of using the vacuum sealer. We've had three do this, after only using them a short time.
If you try this anyway, be warned that the top is really hard to get off, even after releasing the pressure. So even before ours broke, I would have said these were very poorly designed for ease of use.

My testing shows an 82% seal failure rate

Conservative usable THRESHOLD established at -0.015 mPa (-4.41 HG) for all testing and usage from here on out. No cracking occurs from here on out.
