I the combination of the glass vacuum boxes and the plastic vacuum bags. The vacuum pump does not take up a lot of space and doesn’t need to be charged as often as other products. To top it off, it comes with a free app to help you monitor and keep track of your food and extended expiration dates. So far, I am satisfied with my purchase. I meal prep, so this is totally worth it. My food lasts longer than I need it to. It’s a win-win for me. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bags are not good for anything but dry goods Works well enough with the glass containers, but woe betide you if you want to use the bags with anything oily. The online video guide for cleaning the bags shows a ridiculously inadequate cleaning method of fill, soap and rinse that does not work if the bag has had anything oily in it (eg, marinated meats). The bags are not dishwasher safe, so that's out, and the plastic they are made from holds onto grease despite multiple washes and scrubbings. One can only find this out after using them... at which point Zwilling will not accept them for return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value! The Zwilling Fresh & Save kit is a winner! It actually does what it says it does! Easily vacuum seals all types of foods in specially designed containers and plastic zip style bags. Vacuum sealing helps food stay fresh up to 5 times longer than normal storing options. The zip bags can be cleaned and reused, saving you money on the cost of disposable ziploc bags. The pump is simple to use and shuts off automatically when vacuum sealing is complete. Even better, the pump only needs charging every 3 to 6 months using the included usb charging cable. All in all, a great product, a great value, and I am a very happy customer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be careful with bags and liquids The liquid prevention doesn’t really work on bags with soup. Probably ok with thick liquid like chili or spaghetti sauce. Best to add soups like french onion to glass bowl, seal and freeze. Transfer after frozen to a zip bag. Also research the food you should NOT vacuum seal as it’s not intuitive. Would be nice to have a published list on web site.

My only request for improvement would be to redesign the containers so they are slightly shorter and wider, for easier stacking in the refrigerator.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Product but Bag Closure Needs Improving I’ve had a food saver and like this system so much more. I’m environmentally conscious and using the bags multiple times is a plus. My only complaint is that after using the bags 3-4 times, I’ve had difficulty keeping the bags closed enough to keep them airtight which is the point. When the bags are no longer new, the closure clip needs to go back and forth many times to keep the air in and even that doesn’t work. I’m a little surprised that others have not commented on this. If this could be fixed then I’d say this is a five star product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality, compact product to aid sustainability The small, handheld device fits easily in a cabinet and the bags and boxes have replaced items I would have anyway. All of pieces are sturdy and have worked well. I’ve used the vacuum bags for my sous vide and it’s worked well. The glass boxes frequently have their vacuum seal piece pop out when unsealing them; however, it hasn’t been difficult to place the piece back in.

However anytime I put veggies in a bag, it gets soggy and unusable after a few days. I thought it was supposed to keep the veggies fresh so I was disappointed with that
