Rated 2 out of 5 by Dissatisfied Customer from Drop Ring doesn't close securely around the neck I purchased a ring while living in Peru and it was wonderful on every brand of Malbec (red wine) I bought. I ordered this newest ring but it does not fit (too small) on bottles of wine I have purchased here in the states. the bottle necks are too thick & wide. Unfortunately, I regret the purchase

Rated 1 out of 5 by Social network from Does not work unless you remove foil This thing is very cool and if it were juuuust a bit bigger it would be perfect. Overall the construction is very nice, the magnets seem plenty strong (unlike what some of the other reviewers said), and it’s so clever how you don’t have to slip it over the top of the bottle which can shred the felt on other wine collars. But the reason for my low rating is that it only works on some bottles if you tear off the foil. We have not tried it on enough bottles to say if there are even larger bottles out there that it wouldn’t fit even without the foil on. This is a very cool wine bottle collar but it just doesn’t work sometimes doing the one thing it’s designed to do. I get that you can’t make it too big because then it would just fall off the bottle the bottle when you tip it to pour, but it’s a design fail in my book. Would love to have one that’s just a bit bigger.

It's good to have one of these sommelier drop ring, its purpose is to catch liquid from your wine bottle after pouring wine into your Zwilling predicat wine glass. It keeps your table setting clean and stain-free from red wine drops. This works not just for wine bottles, can use for oil bottles, and soy sauce bottles, it catches that liquid from dripping into your cabinet shelf, counters, and table cloth.

This has the same issue. On larger necked bottles, it has to be up at the top of the neck. Construction is great.

This felt lined ring is ingeniously designed with a magnetic clasp to fit around any bottle neck regardless of the shape of the top. It is stainless steel so it is easy to clean any droplets of the steel to keep it looking new each time.

The ring fits most wine bottles, and prevents drops of wine from running down the bottle as you are pouring. The wine is stopped by the steel drop ring which has felt inside to absorb the wine. This is very useful and very easy to clean, so a win win for wine drinkers!
