It has slot for everything, even meat cleaver!
So glad we finally got them. It is a hot buy and every knife in your kitchen will fit including a cleaver knife slot is provided.
Few times customers phone our store figuring out what size of knives can fit i this block, in inches and length. This bock has a slot for either vegetable cleaver or meat cleaver, fits at least 3 wide knives, either 3 chef knife up to 10", bread knife and slicing knife, as well as utility knife down to smallest 2.75" paring knives, a small round hole for honing steel and a small rectangular hole for shears. There's 8 slot for steak knives at the bottom part of this block.

Perfect!
I had a similar but smaller Zwilling block for over 15 years, but I now have too many great new Zwilling knives for it, so I needed a larger block. This one is beautifully made, and really doesn't take much more space than my old one with 18 slots. I looked at virtually every knife block available, and this one is definitely the best for my needs. Wide slots for my larger knives, room for a bread knife and sharpening tool, room for 8 steak knives, and a spot for scissors. It looks very nice on my kitchen counter. It's the same wood as my old block, which always polished up beautifully with lemon oil so I know this one will hold up equally well.

Poor design- Many slots too small for use.
Many slots are too small for use. I have a complete Zwilling knife set, and no knives fit in the lower three slots - not a paring knife, not a serrated utility, not even a steak knife. Very disappointed in this block’s design.

Perfect block for my expanding array of knives!
Received this as a gift and it’s just what I need! Takes nearly the same amount of counter space as my last block, has enough slots to house my new santoku knives (!), sideways slots which I prefer, and the light color wood matches my kitchen decor. 100% perfect!

Nice option if you have several knives that need a home. Whether they match or not, store them safely, and easy to grab when you are ready. The block includes space for steak knifes, shears and a honing steel which is nice too.

Finally found a large well made Hardwood Knife Block to hold all my Henckel knives. Has a slot for steak knives, honing tool, scissors and several slots for all size knife blades.
