Great way to use a whetstoneI have a lot of really nice knives and wanted to get that factory edge back on them once they went dull. The wet stone kitchen sink bridge is fantastic. This is a safe and easy way of using a whetstone. Since using a whetstone can be a bit messy, having the bridge is convenient to have water runoff go into the sink and keeping your counter tops clean. Takes practice, but the results for using whetstones are so much better than using any other sharpening tool. If you have nice knives, Japanese or Western, definitely go the wet stone route for sharpening and get the bridge.

Smart. Makes stone sharpening easier.Nothing bothered me more than chasing my stones around the counter. Even on a wet towel, or resting in a variety of holders, with enough water and grit, anything can slide around. Now, this sink bridge alleviates my issues. It clamps into most sinks, and secures Kramer stones snugly. Water drizzles down, nothing moves. Get the full set if you can, but if you wish to start slow, get this bridge and coarse stone and a polishing stone. You won't regret it.

Perfect for a messy jobSharpening your own knives ensures you get the edge back exactly the way you want it. It takes a little practice but is very rewarding and kind of therapeutic. The down side is that using a whetstone creates a mess on your kitchen counter with water and stone debris. This sink bridge solves the problem as the bridge fits perfectly over your sink where you can easily rinse up the mess. You decide which whetstones you need and pair them with this.

Stone sharpening is the best way to get your knife edges back to their sharpest. This sink bridge is a great idea because it keeps the mess in the sink for easy clean up and eliminates any slipping of the stone as you sharpen. This does not come with a stone but it fits the Bob Kramer line of stones which are great quality and come with instructions. Watch a tutorial on line to help learn the skill!

Makes sharpening easierThis sink bridge makes using my whetstone so much easier to use because I can keep it wet while sharpening my knives because there is easy access to water. It also makes clean up a breeze because it goes directly into the sink. I also find that I have more room to move around when using this sink bridge because I have nothing in my way.

A definite must, unless you keep wanting to sharpen your knives in your garage... it can be a messy process with you whet stones in vice-grips. Place the bridge over your sink and having a consistent water supply is always helpful, and with anything, practice makes perfect!

easy clean sharpeningI have been sharpening my own knives for years and hated the mess it made on my counters. I love this sink bridge. It holds my stones securely under the running water of my sink. The water provides lubrication and easy cleanup of residue. A must have for any true sharpener.
