ZWILLING TWIN Gourmet Classic 18-pc Knife Block Set is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 377.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Knives for Novice as Well as Professionals I just received my knives that I ordered online. I really suffered between ordering these or another similar brand. But, the minute I opened these I knew I had made the right decision. They feel good in your hand and cut through fruits and vegetables like a dream. They came already super sharp, so it is just a matter of maintaining. These knives are for the professional as well as the novice. The tang on the knives is also enough. I’m not a professional but I believe that the 8” cat daddy of a knife as a full tang. I’m in heaven and can’t wait to make dinner. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent set of stamped knives. I know that a high qualit yknife is usually forged but those are just too much weight for me to want to use. i end up always going to smaller blades to get the comfort. I found these and it solved all of my problems. They are still stamped but they are such a great quality steel that I know that Im getting the best cutting edge and they cut so effortlessly that I don't miss the extra weight. It is a great assortment in the block including 8, count em, 8 steak knives. tiny even get a boning knife and an awesome little beak paring knife that makes detailed work a snap

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great knives for an unbeatable price! I love these knives, I’ve been wanting them for quite some time now. I went to a knife store and was able to actually talk to a real person about these knives. He could have totally up sold me to a much more expensive competitors set, but he explained why these knives were better as far as quality, life time warranty, affordability and function. He told me that these should be the last knives I will ever have to buy, provided that I care for them properly. We have not been disappointed with our purchase, I only wish we would have bought them sooner. Now I want to invite people over just to show them off on my counter! Buy them, you WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior I considered this is blow dried them when I ordered it, but the sale price was good and I decided to go for it, since my previous set was starting to disappoint every time I used it. These knives are superior in quality to anything I have ever used in my kitchen! If you have never spent the extra bucks on the Henckels line that’s above ‘basic’ - it’s worth every penny! I did my research ahead of time and wasn’t surprised that this brand was at the top of the list, but I made sure to choose the recommended type from the ‘2020 best of’ list that I found. I feel like the winner here!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zwilling Twin Gourmet Classic 18 pc Knife Set I've lived 60 years without decent knives! I can't believe it took me this long to buy a nice set! They feel sharp... I've not tested them out yet. I look forward to enjoying these knives for the rest of my life! Quality product. I'm thankful I spent a little more and got the set made in Spain. If I could have, I would have gotten the set from Germany. A+++

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best knife set ever!! I bought my first set as a 10th anniversary gift to my husband and myself..more for me truly! lol. It was a smaller set but I just remember being so proud to have such a nice set. They have been wonderful and now will be handed down to my daughter who is moving into her 1st apartment while in college. My husband surprised me with the new 19 piece set for Christmas this year and I can say it can also be for our 26th anniversary. So to say my old set is 16 years old and still good says a lot!! Ready to put my new ones to good use! Happy cutting everyone!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set so far My Dad is a chef and very picky about his knives! He suggested zwilling specifically over genetic henkle because of its unparalleled quality. For me, everything he likes is often too heavy so I love the idea of the twin line because it is lighter weight. I can absolutely feel the difference I. The weight and balance. For someone small like me it’s a perfect fit. I haven’t used them yet so curious to see how the blade holds up to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome set! My mother purchased this set for my boyfriend and I as our first knife set for our new home. We love it!! It really has all the pieces you need and the quality is great! My only complaint is the pairing knife doesn’t seem to be as great of quality as the other pieces in this set, the blade seems to be very thin and there have been multiple times I thought I was about to snap it (although that has never happened and it cuts great - hence why I still have this set 5 stars). Definitely would recommend this set! For the price, it’s definitely a steal!

I have just purchased a J.A.Hencklels Twin Gourmet 15 -pc knife block set. What is the difference between my set and the Twin Gourmet Classic 18-pc set? Is it Classic just because it has more knives? or is it better quality?

Asked by: Tessa
There is no difference in quality of the knives in your set. Classic is just an additional descriptor, in this case.

Are these knives dishwasher safe...................?

Asked by: cajunseo
While these knives are dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing to keep them looking and working like new for as long as possible. High heat and harsh chemicals in dishwasher fluids can shorten the lifespan of our products.

I have a question regarding the ZWILLING J.A. Henckels TWIN Gourmet 18-pc Knife Block Set.  Is this higher-end or lower-end from the "International" set?  Also this says "stamped" (not "forged") -- is forged better than stamped?  And, where are these made

Asked by: ScottBowman
The Gourmet series is the only series made outside of Germany that uses our proprietary, premium ZWILLING Special Formula High Carbon No-Stain Steel. This steel is not available on any of the J.A. Henckels International knives. These knives are manufactured in Spain using German steel. There are many debates to be had over stamped versus forged knives. Ultimately, is comes down to preference. Stamped knives are stamped from a sheet of steel, where forged knives are hammered from a single piece of steel. Because of this, stamped knives contain less material. As a result, they have thinner blade profiles, tend to be much lighter, and are less expensive. Some people prefer the lighter, more nimble feeling of stamped knives, while others prefer the the heavier, more balanced feel of a forged knife. Many stamped knives do not have a bolster, which generally adds balance and provides a guide for grip, though one may argue that the lighter stamped knives do not need this.
