Pink Dragon Fruit Smoothie
This colourful smoothie is packed full of superfoods: Chia, beetroot, grapefruit and ginger. Pure vitamin power!

INGREDIENTS
- 2 dragon fruits (pitahayas)
- 200 g pineapple flesh
- 1 ripe banana
- 10 g ginger root
- 125 g frozen raspberries
- 1 pink grapefruit
- 1 boiled beetroot
- 4 tsp. chia seeds
- 8 large ice cubes
- Agave nectar to taste
Preparation
- Weigh and measure all the ingredients, prepare them and place them ready.
- Cut the dragon fruit in half lengthwise and remove the flesh with a spoon. Roughly chop the pineapple flesh. Peel the banana and cut roughly into pieces. Peel the ginger root. Cut the grapefruit in half and squeeze out the juice. Chop the beetroot into pieces.
- Add the ingredients to the blender jar in the following order: Dragon fruit, pineapple, banana, ginger, raspberries, grapefruit juice, beetroot, half of the chia seeds, ice cubes.
- Close the blender jar with the lid, select the Smoothie setting and press the button to start the program. Once the blending is finished, remove the lid.
- Sweeten the Pink Dragon Fruit Smoothie with agave nectar to taste. Pour into glasses, sprinkle the remaining chia seeds and serve ice cold.
Tip
Dragon fruit or pitahayas are available to purchase in well-stocked supermarkets. They are available with white or red flesh. Watermelon flesh can also be used as an alternative.
