INGREDIENTS

  • 8 slices of sandwich bread
  • Approx. 50 g softened butter
  • 8 slices of Emmental cheese
  • 8 slices of cooked ham
  • 1. Spread the slices thickly with butter on one side.

    2. Halve the ham slices.

    3. Layer the unspread side of 4 slices of bread with 1 slice of cheese, then with 4 half-slices of ham each, then once again with a slice of cheese.

    4. Cover the entire structure with another slice of bread so that the side spread with butter is facing upwards.

    5. Cook the ham-cheese toasties one by one in a hot grill pan on the buttered side for approx . 4 minutes, until golden brown.

    6. Then leave to dry on kitchen paper and serve immediately.
