Pan grilling

It can be something other than the coal or gas grill that provides delicious grilling pleasure. With STAUB's grill pans, you can have grilling fun anytime, 365 days a year. The fine roasted strips that are so popular when grilling turn out particularly well in our cast-iron pans and ensure an authentic grilled taste.

Most often, the grill pan is used for frying meat and vegetables. But the grill pan is also very suitable for preparing sweet and savoury bread dishes. Thus, French toast or bruschetta becomes crispy and aromatic.

GRILLING STEAK PROPERLY IN THE GRILL PAN FROM STAUB

1. FIRST

After unpacking, rinse the pan with hot water and dry it. Brush the inner surface with a bit of vegetable oil and heat the pan for a few minutes. Take up the excess oil with kitchen paper.

2. BEFORE FRYING

Place the pan on the stove and heat slowly for 3 - 5 minutes at 1/3 of full heat.

Then increase the heat to full for 3 minutes.

3. COOK

Allow the steak (2 - 2.5 cm thick) to come to room temperature and season.

4. PREPARATION

Reduce heat by 1/3 and coat the pan with vegetable fat. Press meat lightly into the grill pan. For medium rare, sear on both sides for 3 minutes each. Turn the meat to 11 - 13 o'clock for a perfect grill pattern. Let the steak rest on the cutting pad for 2 - 3 minutes.

5. SERVING

Slice and dress the meat. Serve with delicious vegetables or a salad.

6. CLEANING

Allow the pan to cool for 15 minutes, then soak it in hot water with dish soap. Then clean with the brush.
