Cleaning your blender – the right way to do it

We'll tell you how to properly clean your blender, which spots are most important, and which home tools and utensils work best.

Your blender – lots of goodies, easy to clean

Pesto, shakes and smoothies – they taste so great, they leave so many marks on your kitchen appliance. You're left with a mix of fruit, vegetable and drink residue that you should clean your blender of. Because then it's not aesthetically pleasing any more. By cleaning it carefully, you can and this is generally true for all kitchen appliances – extend the life of your blender.

Quick blender cleaning, made simple

You see for yourself when your ZWILLING ENFINIGY stand mixer is in use: Especially the blender jar, the lid and the original ZWILLING blades, which finely chop everything in operation, come into heavy contact with your ingredients. They, therefore, require special attention and are best cleaned after each use. You can clean the blender base with a fat-soluble detergent and a damp cloth if necessary.

Did you know?

The ZWILLING ENFINIGY products High-Performance Stand Blender, High-Performance Stand Blender Pro and Universal Stand Blender, have their self-cleaning program. To do this, simply add 500ml of lukewarm water and a drop of detergent to the container, put on the lid and start the cleaning program. The self-cleaning process is initiated at the touch of a button and works at different speed intervals. The results are also very impressive!

Clean smoothie maker for heavy and special soiling

So far, so good as far as blender cleaning right after use is concerned. But what about stubborn stains, discoloration, and limescale? All of that can happen – you'll get rid of it all with simple household remedies:

Remove discoloration with cooking oil:

Pumpkin, beet or carrots are all delicious and healthy things, but they can discolour your blender. Still, don't be afraid to use these vitamin bombs in your next smoothie or shake because you can clean your stand blender of their residue by taking a household cloth with cooking oil and wiping the blender jar properly.

Clean the blender with a brush:

If you want to clean the blades in your blender, we say be careful first: Original ZWILLING cross blades with piranha teeth are at work in the ZWILLING ENFINIGY blenders. To protect your fingers, we recommend using a small brush to apply the simple washing-up liquid to the blades and rinse them with water.

Clean the blender in the dishwasher? – Better not!

As you can see: no word on dishwashers. Vinegar, dishwashing liquid – There are plenty of effective and ecological home remedies that you can use to clean your blender, even from particular dirt.

If you consistently rinse with warm water directly after use, that's enough for common deposits. You don't need the dishwasher here at all. Quite the opposite: The high-quality ball bearings in the blender jars are happy if they don't even come into contact with the aggressive dishwasher cleaners.
