Staub
La Cocotte
3.6 l cast iron round French oven, graphite-grey
Staub enameled cast iron cookware is the top choice for chefs and home cooks alike. Rooted in French culinary heritage, Staub's renowned cocottes are timeless pieces, perfect for casual meals or sumptuous suppers. The Essential French Oven with Chistera lid is the latest star in the cast iron collection. Like Staub's signature flat lid, the domed Chistera lid has excellent self-basting properties. Usually, a convex lid causes condensation to fall to the sides. The innovative, Chistera drop-structure lid solves this problem by putting a twist on traditional spikes. Moisture cascades from the whole lid. This continuous basting guarantees delectable roast chicken and braised short ribs. What inspired this original design? Basque pelota players use wicker basket chisteras to scoop up balls and hurl them quickly. Under Staub's new lids, the chistera-shaped curves gather condensation to shower moisture upon the delicious dish that simmers inside.

La Cocotte from STAUB
Cast iron cookware has been used for many centuries, among other reasons, for its excellent energy efficiency. The material is known for its even heat conduction and retention, which means that fried dishes develop many roasting aromas. Chilled food also benefits from the temperature retention properties, as it stays cool for several hours and can be served without any problem at garden parties.

ULTIMATE SLOW COOKER
Made in France, STAUB enameled cast iron cocottes are perfect for braising and browning meats, cooking fish, and preparing soups and stews.

ENAMELED CAST IRON
Textured black matte enameled cast iron possesses exceptional heat-retaining qualities, so the pot heats evenly throughout.

TIGHT-FITTING LID
The innovative self-basting lid features tiny bumps on the interior that continually release condensed liquid back onto food, resulting in moist, flavourful results.

STOVE, OVEN, TABLE
It is compatible with all stovetops, including induction, and oven safe to 500°F. Serve right to the table in the dish you cook in.

OVERSIZED HANDLES
Easy-to-grip double handles offer easy maneuverability and efficient oven-to-table transport while wearing oven mitts.
