You will delight in our cocotte cookware, which allows you to cook soups, and casseroles and gratins. Cast iron is a popular material for cookware, because it takes on the oven’s heat efficiently and distributes it evenly. The excellent heat storage delivers gentle stewing and keeps the food warm. The casserole’s elegant design make it eminently suitable for serving at the table. The round cocotte is in graphite grey, so it fits equally with rustic dining room décor or the clean lines of modern restaurants. The cocotte has a diameter of 26 cm and is 17 cm tall, and feature a matte black enamel interior. This enhances the heat-storing and heat conducting properties of cast iron and preserves the food’s flavours of food prepared. This ability improves with use. With the Staub cocotte you will be able to make tasty dishes like pot roast or vegetable gratin in no time.

It was my first Staub cocette purchase and will be the last because their manufacturing standards are not consistent. To make things worse, Zwilling puts the expense on the wronged customer to ship a heavy cast iron pot back to them. No refunds only will replace the product with an equivalent or whatever is available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A happy impulse buy I was set to buy a different brand of cast iron but Staub caught my attention after I saw a famous chef use the product. I researched for the best cast iron and I found that I like the matte interior of Staub which will probably look better in the long run compared to other brands. I think the 3.8 L will be just right for my small family. When the product arrived, I was just amazed at how sturdy and beautiful it looks. I still have to use it a few more times before I can say anything about its performance. My only complain is that the box was badly damaged. It was also not sealed in the box but I think it’s the fault of the store I brought it from. I plan to buy more Staub products in the future!

I think when spending nearly $300 on a product customers should have a reasonable expectation that items arrive in good condition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best I have been using stainless steel cookware for sometime. Don't get me wrong, they are good -- but .. after having them for a while, cooking had seem boring. I spoke to a friend who owned some le Creuset -- and told her, I might get one for myself. Then she mentioned STAUB. I did my research and splurged on one -- and I DID NOT REGRET it! The flavour of the meat and how tender they were cooked and even the veggies -- I have found my joy back in my kitchen. My hubby was delighted!

This size is much more versatile and also feels significantly lighter than the 5.5-qt (perfect for my weak arms). Perfect for a family of 2-4 people! I am very satisfied with my purchase, and the white truffle is such a beautiful, rustic off-white colour.
