ZWILLING Dragon combines Chinese culture stretching back over 5000 years with modern design and traditional craftsmanship. All knives in the series are made from one piece of stainless special recipe steel with a fine Pakka wood handle. The highlight is that each knife bears a poem by a Chinese well-known poet, litterateur or philosopher, each representing one of the seven major Chinese dynasties.?Every detail of each knife is finely polished, reflecting the Chinese craftsmanship spirit.

Laser marked calligraphic of the dynasty name on the blade by famous calligrapher at that time, each accompanied with poems by well known poets of that time.??This set includes the Santoku from the Yuan Dynasty, Calligrapher?Zhao Mengfu and Poet?Guan Hanqing. The Chopper represents the?Qin Dynasty with?Calligrapher Li Si and Poet Li Si.?The Chinese Chef?represents the Tang Dynasty. With Calligrapher?Yan Zhenqing and Poet?Li Bai. The Vegetable Knife representing the Qing Dynasty with Calligrapher?Wu Dacheng and Poet?LinZexu.?The block colour is same to the red paint on Chinese palace gate , which represents regalilty and?nobility.
