Description
A design piece for daily use: The premium kettle in modern ZWILLING design with heat insulation. The dual-wall body also keeps heat inside the 1500 watt kettle longer while keeping the outside cool to the touch. Moreover, the lid opens to a maximum of 70 degrees to prevent direct contact with hot steam. The seamless, 1L stainless steel container is also extremely easy to clean and the built-in limescale filter – also partially made with stainless steel – ensures better flavour. The snug-fit filter also seals the spout when the lid is closed, thereby keeping spillage to an absolute minimum even when the kettle is accidentally knocked. An additional safety feature is the built-in dry boil and overheating protection that automatically switches off the kettle to prevent damage to the heating element. Removing the kettle from the docking station also automatically switches it off. The docking station with cord wrap also facilitates easy storage.

Horrible Experience
First of all, this kettle is overpriced. Except for the inner part, everything else is cheap plastic. It takes roughly the same time to heat up water as my cheap $20 kettle. It does keep the water warm for several hours, which is a plus.
The worst part is the customer service and warranty claim. After 10 months of use, my kettle just stopped working. I was told Zwilling does not offer free pick up, so I had to drive 2 hours to the nearest drop off place. I have been waiting for 4 months now, no updates at all. I have also emailed and called them, but was told other than being patient, there is nothing else they can do. I did not expect this from Zwiling to be honest. very disappointed.

poor quality, poor return policy
The strainer fell off in 2 weeks with once a day use!!!
took it back to store but they did not refund my money or offer to replace it. They kept the kettle and said they will send it to manufacture to see if they can fix it or not in 4 to 8 weeks!!!!
what am I going to do in 8 weeks?
If I had purchase a cheap one from walmart , and something was wrong, I would be able to return it in 90 days!
Very disappointed customer. Not buying from them anymore ...

Terrible quality
Had one that broke within a month, was replaced and now the replacement has succumbed to the same defect within six months.

Overall good product but failed within 3 months
TL;DR :
- Possible issue with filter (check other negative reviews)
- High price tag doesn’t guarantee durability
- Customer service is polite but felt like they follow protocols
- Warranty policy is disadvantageous to the customer as it raises the total cost and forces you to lose your product for a few weeks

I have bought the kettle directly on Zwilling Website.
I chose this model because I wanted an upgrade. This model interested me because it was made in one piece of metal (to reduce the chance of leakage) and because the filter was also in metal. I didn’t want plastic anymore in something that heats up and touches my food. I hoped for something well made that I could rely on.
The problem: the filter broke after 3 months of daily use (I make tea with it). Furthermore, I was informed by customer service that there are no replacement part as the filter cannot be put back in place. And to my surprise: the metal filter is fixed to a plastic part which appeared to have failed for some reason. I would like to note that this problem is known as other reviews on this site shows.
Customer service: They were polite and responded promptly but they seem to follow protocols. They offered me to send them back the kettle (at my expenses) so they could look at it and then send a replacement for the kettle after 4 to 6 weeks.
So in the end, here are my choices
(1) Pay more to send back the kettle and have nothing for over a month
(2) Deal with it: use the kettle without the filter or buy another one

faulty product, awful service!
This product arrived with a problem, it was taking too long to shut down. After a month a light use it got to never shutting down on it`s own. Not very safe for an expensive kettle if you ask me! Contacted the customer support and they did not have any support! They send you a faulty product, then tell you to send them the product at your own expense! They may or may not get back to you after that! What a mistake! Next time I am just getting a cheap kettle which actually will work for 10 years!
Horrible! Dont let the looks of it fool you, it is not worth being disrespected as a customer.

worst kettle i ever had!
I bought this kettle for over $100 because I think Zwilling should be a good quality product! My cheap cheap kettle bought from Walmart still can be used it over 5 years! I bought this kettle last April and it already does not function! Zwilling is not the brand we trust it anymore!

So far so good
I’m 60 years old. I’ve bought many electric kettles over the years. This is the most expensive one. Since I was told by customer service there is a 5 year warranty, and I like Henckel knives, thought I’d try this. The lid is nice and tight and does not leak water when you pour out. The on/off indicator is well lit. The water is boiled in good time and the kettle is not loud, nor does it make any cracking sounds. I was a little hesitant about buying this because of the price and also because of the lack of a visual water level indicator but so far after using this kettle for about 3 weeks, my husband and I are quite content. BTW, we boil water 3-4 times per day. Also the kettle clearly says made in China although the customer service team told me Germany. Perhaps they meant designed in Germany.
