Grilling in the pan

You don't need a charcoal or gas grill to enjoy delicious grilling. With STAUB's grill pans, you can savour the experience any day of the year. Our cast iron pans perfectly cook the popular grilled strips, resulting in an authentic flavour that everyone loves.

Meats and vegetables are commonly cooked by frying in a grill pan. However, this versatile kitchen tool is also perfect for creating delectable sweet and savoury bread-based dishes. French toast and bruschetta, in particular, turn out delightfully crispy and full of flavour when prepared on the grill pan.

HOW TO CORRECTLY GRILL STEAK IN THE STAUB GRILL PAN

1. FIRST

Once you have completed unpacking, thoroughly rinse the pan with hot water and ensure it is dried completely. Next, lightly brush the inner surface with vegetable oil before heating the pan for a few minutes. To remove any excess oil, use paper towels to absorb it.

2. BEFORE FRYING

Place the pan on the stove and heat slowly at 1/3 full heat for 3-5 minutes.

Then increase the heat to full for 3 minutes.

3. COOKED FOOD

Let the steak (2 - 2.5 cm thick) come to room temperature and season.

4. PREPARATION

Reduce the heat by 1/3 and coat the pan with vegetable fat. Press the meat lightly into the grill pan. For medium rare cooking, fry for 3 minutes on both sides. For the perfect grill pattern, position the meat between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Let the steak rest on the cutting surface for 2 - 3 minutes.

5. SERVE

Cut the meat and serve it. Delicious vegetables or a salad go well with this.

6. CLEANING

Allow the pan to cool for 15 minutes and then soak in hot water with dish soap. Then clean with the brush.
