Disappointed
I was so looking forward to using this little rice pot, however due to poor quality control, I never did. There was a spot on the lid that was not fully covered by the enamelling, which basically means I was sent a factory second. I contacted customer service and was told I either had to return or replace it. Unfortunately they were not able to replace it with another of the same colour in a timely manner, so I ended up returning it and buying a competitor's 1.7 qt rice pot, which arrived without visual defects, so I'm left wondering how this little pot would have performed.

Chipped product
It came chipped on the edge and the chipped spot is now rusted on a brand new product! The product is alright L. Very pretty but haven’t noticed much difference than cooking from a stainless steel pot.
I sent picture to customer service and they came back asking me to restore the product using mechanical or chemical methods. First of all. A brand new staub should never rust!! It’s got the coating and that’s why I pay premium price for it. Second, you sent me a defect and ask me to fix it myself? Don’t buy online!

Defective
I own over 10 Staub pots. This is my first time buying directly from Zwilling website. I bought two, gray and black. Started using them right away, it is very good for making rice for 1 to 2 servings, I haven't tried more so far.
Couple of days after, I noticed something shocking, the lids and pot rim started rusting already. Another Staub pot of mine in use for years, and that one is not even rusting. Obviously these two are defective, not properly coated and treated at manufacture. It's a disappointment, Zwilling refused to take them back because they are used already, but they can send replacement for one under warranty, the black one, they even refused to do the replacement, just told me to remove the rust and oil it up.
I buy Staub pot because there is no need to treat it with oil each time after use, otherwise, a cheap cast iron will do all the trick.

Even better than a Japanese rice cooker
Very pretty pot, well made, perfect size for my family. Uses less time than an electric rice cooker. Rice turns out fluffy and perfect every time. Ended up putting our Japanese rice cooker in to storage.
