The cookware is made of high-quality enamelled cast iron that combines all the advantages of cast iron – optimal heat distribution, great durability, natural material – with the ease-of-use the enamelled surface provides. No seasoning is required and the enamel is scratch-resistant as well. The cherry red on the outside is combined with a black matte enamel on the inside, which provides thousands of micro roasting points that enhance the flavour of the food, while the little gaps in the uneven surface collect the juices and create a delicious sauce.
The Cocotte is ideal for preparing dishes that call for searing first and then go in the oven, while the frying pan/skillet is great for frying meat, fish or vegetables.
