This cocotte is part of the La Cocotte series and is perfect for cooking braised dishes and stews, no matter if you are a beginner, experienced hobby cook or an award-winning top chef. The cast-iron material makes it easy to cook in a healthy and gentle manner, since it lastingly retains absorbed heat and then evenly distributes it for a longer period of time. The matt black coating of enamel on the inside of the cocotte accentuates this effect and highlights the natural flavour of prepared dishes. The special feature of enamelled cast iron is that its effect improves the more frequently it is used – there’s nothing to stop intense taste sensations from being had with this black cocotte. The round roaster has a diameter of 22 cm and can hold up to 2.6 litres, so that it is well suited for larger portions if you’re entertaining friends or family. Since cast iron takes some time to heat up again after it’s been cooled, half-frozen food also stays cold. In addition, the cast iron is easy to clean and is very resilient.
